This document lists Workspot’s selective features (optional features) that are enabled by default.
Most selective features are disabled by default when they are experimental or highly specialized, but some graduate to being enabled by default when they prove themselves to be generally useful.
The selective features that are enabled by default are shown below:

Allow "None" for Named Time Limits Policy | VMs can be set to run forever in Time Limits Policies. |
API Service | Enables the Control API. |
Azure AD Auth | Enables the (optional) use of Entra ID authentication. |
Bring Your Own Cloud | Bring Your Own Cloud licensing. |
GCP | Enables the use of Google Cloud Platform hosting. |
Global Desktop | Enables the Global Desktop feature for high-availability desktops with failover. |
Max. VM Concurrent Provisioning | Allows control over the number of VMs (desktops, servers) provisioned in parallel. |
MultiZone Pool | Allows the desktops in a pool to be provisioned on multiple zones in the same region. |
Pause Resume Service | Enables power management on desktops and servers. |
Posture Check | Allows posture checking on the Client device to be ensure it meets your organization’s security standards. |
RAIL, RAIL (Android), RAIL (iOS) | Support for the RAIL (Remote Application Integrated Locally) standard. |
RD Gateway Stamping | Support for managed RD gateways. |
RDPool Apps on Mobile Client | Allows apps hosted by application servers to be seen on Android and iOS Clients. |
Restrict Control UI Login | Optionally restricts Control user logins to Entra ID or SAML (not AD). |
SAML | Allows SAML logins. |
Template Maintenance Policy | Enables Template Maintenance Policies. |
Workspot on Amazon WorkSpaces Core | Enables the use of Microsoft Azure Hosting. |
