Highlights
Schedule:
US Control: Released on January 31, 2026.
EU Control: schedule February 3, 2026.
(Akamai) Support for non-persistent desktop and application server VMs.
(Amazon Workspaces Core) Support for building templates from Custom Images, putting them in the Draft/Preview/Published states, and cloning them.
You can now filter the Status columns of the "Manage Cloud Desktop Pool" and "Manage Cloud App Pool" pages to show only desktops/app servers with the selected Statuses, such as "Ready" and "Connected."
The maximum length for a template name has been increased from 15 to 63 characters.
(Enterprise Browser) New, more secure “Downloads” folder location for the Workspot Enterprise Browser. Downloads can now go directly to the user's Microsoft OneDrive folder without having been saved on the local device at all, or they can be saved locally as with ordinary browsers. This is a selective feature: contact Workspot to enable it.
(Licensing) Support for two new license types: “Browser Apps” and “Server and Browser Apps.”
A “Browser Apps” license entitles the user only to apps running on the Workspot Secure Browser.
A “Server and Browser Apps” license entitles the user to run Browser Apps and Cloud Server Apps, but not desktops.
Cloud Application Servers using the "Breadth" load-balancing method no longer assign new sessions to servers that are at or above Max Sessions when they have the lowest load.
A bug that allowed Watch to list suspended desktops as still being assigned to users has been fixed.
(GCP) A bug that caused templates created via "Clone Template" and "Build Template" to not be associated with the Service Account has been fixed.
(Akamai) Deleting a template in Control now removes it from both Control and the Akamai console.
(The Entra ID-only) BRPT tokens now have cross-tenant support.
"Never Sleep" is no longer grayed out for Time Limits Policies for persistent desktops pools.
