Issue: The Workspot client toolbar is not visible within the session. Users are unable to minimize or restore the session using the toolbar; the only available method is using Windows Key + D.

Possible Cause: Corruption or malfunctioning of Workspot client components.

Resolution: Uninstall the Workspot client completely and then reinstall the latest version to restore normal functionality.

Workspot Windows Client  – Complete Removal Procedure

To perform a clean removal of the Workspot Client, follow the steps below:

  1. Uninstall the Workspot Client
    Remove the WS Client using Control Panel → Programs and Features.

  2. Verify and remove leftover folders
    After uninstalling, check the following directories for any remaining Workspot folders and delete them if present:

    • C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Workspot

    • C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Programs\Workspot

  3. Remove leftover registry entries
    Open the Registry Editor and delete the following key if it exists:

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Workspot

  4. Reinstall the latest Workspot Client
    Download and install the latest version of the WS Client from:
    https://www.workspot.com/download/

Workspot Mac Client – Complete Removal Procedure

Follow the steps below to completely remove the Workspot Client from a macOS device:

  1. Uninstall the Workspot Application

    • Open the Applications folder.

    • Locate Workspot.

    • Drag the Workspot app to the Trash (bottom-left of the Dock).

  2. Remove Workspot Containers

    • Navigate to: ~/Library/Containers

    • Delete all folders that begin with "com.workspot."

    • If the Library folder is hidden, press Shift + Command + . to show hidden files.

  3. Remove Workspot Entries from Keychain

    • Press Command + Space to open Spotlight Search.

    • Type Keychain Access and open it.

    • Search for "com.workspot" and delete any related entries (e.g., tokens).

  4. Stop Background Workspot Processes

    • Press Command + Space and search for Activity Monitor.

    • In Activity Monitor, search for processes starting with "cfp" running under your user.

    • Select the process and choose Force Quit.

  5. Reboot the Mac

    • Restart the system to ensure all components are fully removed.

  6. Reinstall the Workspot Client

    • Open the App Store, download the Workspot client, and reinstall it.

    • Launch the client and validate functionality.
