Introduction
The Workspot Gateway Agent is similar to the Workspot Desktop Agent but has additional features to support Workspot Managed Gateways. Like the Workspot Desktop Agent, the Gateway Agent runs as a Windows service and communicates with Workspot Control to report status and logging information and to receive configuration changes made by administrators.
The Agent has an auto-update feature where it checks for updates shortly after boot and once every 24 hours. This allows the gateways to always run the recommended release.
Special features of the Gateway Agent include:
Reporting gateway-relevant monitoring information to Workspot Watch.
Support for the Workspot Gateway Plugin.

Manual Installation
Manual installation is usually unnecessary because the Gateway VMs are created in Control and already include the Gateway Agent.
To install the Gateway Agent manually:
Obtain a copy of WorkspotAgentGatewaySetup.msi from Workspot.
Sign into the Gateway VM.
Launch CMD as an administrator.
Run
msiexec /i "workspotgatewayagentsetup.msi"
to install in the default directory or
msiexec /i "workspotgatewayagentsetup.msi" APPLICATIONROOTDIRECTORY="drive:\\path”
to install in a non-default directory.
Using the Workspot Gateway Agent
In general, the Gateway Agent operation is similar to the Workspot Desktop Agent.
