Summary
For customers using the EU instance of Workspot Control (only), Workspot Mac Clients older than 7.0.1 and Workspot iOS Clients older than 7.2.1 longer function. That is, they will not be able to communicate with Workspot Control or to connect with Workspot Desktops or Applications.
Are You Affected?
Most customers in the EU still use Workspot’s US Control instance. You can see which instance your company uses as follows:
Sign into Workspot Control.
Your browser’s address bar will show:
https://control.eu.workspot.com… if you are an EU instance customer.
https://control.us.workspot.com… if you are a US instance customer.
Action Required (EU Control Customers)
Your users must update the Workspot Client on their Mac and iPhone/iPad devices. Devices set to install updates automatically have probably already done so.
The "Users > Client Activity" page in Workspot Trends can be sorted by OS and release number to find out-of-date Client devices and their users.
Workaround
The Workspot Web Client is supported on the Mac using the Mac Chrome browser and may work with older versions of macOS.
Troubleshooting
Non-updated Clients may be able to connect to persistent desktops, but non-persistent desktops and Cloud Applications will be inaccessible.
