Action Strongly Recommended by December 6, 2025, Required by January 31, 2026
Workspot Control will stop accepting connections from Enterprise Connectors that are not running Release 7.0.0 or above (with mandatory Version 21 JRE) after January 31, 2026.
As first announced in June, as of Workspot Enterprise Connector 7.0, the Azure Zulu 8 JRE (Java Runtime Environment) is no longer supported. Instead, the Azul Zulu 21.0.7 JRE is required.
In addition, connections from pre-7.0.0 Enterprise Connectors will no longer be accepted by Workspot Control after January 31, 2026.
Some customers have still not completed this update.
We cannot make this update automatically, so you must do it yourself. See Required Steps, below.
Existing Enterprise Connector 6.0 installation will not auto-update to 7.0 or above until JRE 21 is present.
However, once JRE 21 is installed, Connector will auto-update to the latest release within 24 hours.
Support for Connector 6.0 will end after January 31, 2026.
Required Steps
Update your Workspot Enterprise Connector servers by December 6, 2025 if possible, and by January 31, 2026 without fail, as follows:
Identify your Connector servers and their hostnames.
In Workspot Watch, go to "Infrastructure" and filter "Type" to show only Connectors.
Alternatively, in Workspot Control, go to "Cloud > Private Cloud" and click on each Private Cloud in turn.
On each Connector server:
Sign in as an administrator.
Download and install https://cdn.azul.com/zulu/bin/zulu21.42.19-ca-jre21.0.7-win_x64.msi
(Leave Azul Zulu 8 alone; it is currently still required.)
This future-proofs your Connectors.
Zulu 8 can be left in place or uninstalled.
See Workspot Enterprise Connector for more information.
