Workspot Compatibility Matrices

Workspot supports many Cloud providers, hypervisors, desktop and application server configurations, power management methods, and other features. This article summarizes this support.

Terminology

  • A Public Cloud is a commercial Cloud services provider such as Microsoft Azure or Google GCP.

  • A Private Cloud, also called on-premises or on-prem, is a grouping of virtual machines using a supported hypervisor such as Nutanix or Hyper-V, usually in a Workspot customer’s datacenter.

  • A Managed Gateway is a Remote Desktop Gateway configured by Workspot Control and running the Workspot Gateway Agent.

  • An Unmanaged Gateway is any other Remote Desktop Gateway used to connect end-users to Workspot desktops and apps.

Note: A bug in GCP power management has caused them to disable support for Pause (Sleep) mode in desktop pools running Windows Server 2025 or Windows 11 24H2 (only). Sleep is supported for versions of Windows. See GGP's description of the issue.
