Workspot Client is part of the Workspot Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution. It's a software application designed to allow users to securely access their virtual desktops, applications, and data from any device, anywhere.
Updating via Deployment Rings
Workspot has a deployment Rings feature that allows Workspot administrators to decide which versions of the Workspot Windows Client to use with different groups of users. However, the deployment ring feature helps to maintain and update the existing Windows Client already installed in the end-user devices.
Deployment Rings and Device/User Contexts
Workspot recommends installing Windows Client in “User Context” through deployment tools like Intune, SCCM, etc. It is NOT recommended to the customer to install Windows client in the “Device Context” unless there is a specific requirement. The two major reasons not to use device context:
The Workspot deployment Ring feature cannot upgrade the Workspot Windows client if the base client is installed in the device context or with the AllUsers=1 parameters.
The "oldest client allowed policy" configured on the Control won’t get applied and the check will be skipped by the Client. Consequently, users can access VDI through older client versions regardless of the specified allowed version set in the control.

For more details, please see Workspot Client Deployment from Microsoft Intune.
Installation and Update via Intune
Intune and Device/User Contexts
Workspot Client can be deployed from Microsoft Intune in two different contexts: Device or User. Below is the behavior when the Workspot Client App is deployed in the Device & User context.

Device Context
When the Workspot Client is deployed from Intune with Device context the Client will be installed on a machine level (using allusers=1 flag) as Desktop mode. Even though you are not passing explicitly the Allusers=1 flag for installation it will be installed in Desktop mode.
User Context (Recommended)
When the Workspot Client is deployed from Intune with Device context the Client will be installed in the logged user’s profile. When the Client is installed in the user Context Client Software Deployment Ring & Older Client allowed features will work as configured in Control.
To Deploy the Workspot Windows Client through Intune
In the Microsoft Intune Portal, go to Apps > Windows under Platform.

Click on Add, then Select App type as Line-of-business app.

In App information: Click on Select app package file.

Browse for the downloaded Windows Workspot Client MSI file and click on OK.

Provide the App Name, Description & Publisher information which are mandatory, and select the App Install Context as required.

Choose the App Install Context as User.

Scope: Proceed with Next.

Assignments: App assignment can be done at this stage or after the App creation is completed. Assign the App to a group of users or devices as required.
Required – The app gets automatically installed without any user interaction. This is used to “Push” an app to a set of users or devices.
Available – The app gets published to the Company Portal catalog and users can optionally go and get it from there themselves.
Uninstall – The app gets uninstalled from devices that have installed previously.

Review: Review the App information and Click on Create to Finish.

App will be created and will be uploaded.

Once the App creation is completed, we can view the properties of the created Apps and do the assignments to the groups as needed.
