Prev Next

How is it important:

Microsoft's Entra ID is a key component to managing authentication for Windows Desktops and Servers. Implementing support for Entra and Windows Server running the Remote Desktop Services role on Azure hosted Windows Server will allow companies who host these servers on Azure the ability to provide applications to their users.

What does it do:

IT Administrators can create templates and application server pools that use Entra ID authentication. When users connect to the application server their Entra credentials are used to authenticate with the application server and on successful authentication, will have access to the desired applications.

Use Cases:

  • Companies' that desire to run Windows Server using the RDSH role to provide applications to their user base.

  • Azure hosted Windows Servers with Entra authentication
