# Workspot Windows Client Release 5.0.0

## Highlights

### Status

- Currently in production.

### Posture Check

Support for additional [posture-check](/v1/docs/security-posture-checking) features:

- Windows 10/11 build numbers: Warn user or deny connections if the build number is too low.
- WiFi connection: Warn user or deny connections except on a wired connection.
- Connection origin: Warn user or deny connections if Client is not in an approved country.

### Improved Okta Support

- Improved [Okta support](/v1/docs/using-okta-with-workspot): Users have the option to use Okta credentials instead of AD credentials or an emailed validation code when registering the Client with Workspot (called “first-time use registration” or “FTU”).

### FIDO2/Yubikey Pass-Through Authentication Support

- [Support for the FIDO2 (Yubikey) protocol](/v1/docs/passthrough-authentication-using-the-fido2yubikey-protocol), allowing a local Yubikey device to authenticate applications running remotely on a Workspot desktop or app.

## Supported Platforms

Windows 10 and Windows 11.

## Installation

### Installing the Release Manually

The Client is available for manual installation from Workspot's download site ([https://download.workspot.com](https://download.workspot.com/)) using the links below:

- 64-bit Windows Client: [WorkspotClientSetup64(5.0.0.5045).msi](https://download.workspot.com/WorkspotClientSetup64(5.0.0.5045).msi).
- 32-bit Windows Client: [WorkspotClientSetup32(5.0.0.5045).msi](https://download.workspot.com/WorkspotClientSetup32(5.0.0.5045).msi).

### Installing the Release Automatically

Automatic updates via the (highly recommended) Deployment Ring option work as follows:

- *The Stable Ring* (recommended for most users) is always set to the most recent production release.
- *The Preview Ring* (recommended for beta testers and early adopters) is always set to the most recent beta release or production release, whichever is newer.

See [Automatic Updates via Deployment Rings](/v1/docs/workspot-windows-client-automatic-updates-via-deployment-rings) for more information.
