# Workspot Windows Client 7.0.0

## **Highlights**

- Schedule:
  - Beta 2: Released on January 15, 2026.
  - Production: TBD.
- Supports the use of a [Custom Port](/v1/docs/control-setup-configuration-page#authorized-ports-custom-rdp-ports) for the RDP protocol.
- Audio/video conferencing is now supported on Microsoft Teams running in the [Workspot Browser](/v1/docs/the-workspot-browser).
- Support for [Workspot Browser-Only deployments](/v1/docs/the-workspot-browser) (that is, customers who have chosen to use only the Workspot Enterprise Browser and not desktop/application pools).
- Client log files are no longer deleted during a Client Reset operation because users often reset the Client before asking IT for help. To delete the log files, uninstall the Client.
- Support for notifying users that their desktop/app password has expired or will expire soon. This feature is available for customers using third-party identity providers. This is a selective feature: contact Workspot to enable it.
- Control is now notified whenever a Client user pastes data from the clipboard of a Workspot desktop/application to an application or drive on the local device.
- A bug that sometimes produced the message, "An error occurred in the authentication module" in Entra ID and Okta logins has been fixed.
- A bug that could intermittently prevent users from signing in has been fixed.
- A bug that prevented the login message configured in Control from appearing has been fixed.

### Known Issues

- The Client may crash on failed downloads and while downloading zero-length or multi-gigabyte files via Enterprise Browser apps.
- Display zoom does not work on multi-monitor apps, nor can a zoomed single-monitor app be moved to a different display.

## **Supported Platforms**

Windows 11.

## **Installation**

### **Installing the Release Manually**

The Client is available for manual installation from Workspot's download site ([https://download.workspot.com](https://download.workspot.com/)) using the links below:

Beta Windows Client download link: [WorkspotClientSetup64(7.0.0.6053)_BETA.msi](https://download.workspot.com/WorkspotClientSetup64(7.0.0.6053)_BETA.msi).

- Production Windows Client download link: TBD.

### **Installing the Release Automatically**

Workspot’s (highly recommended) automatic updates via [Deployment Rings](https://docs.workspot.com/v1/docs/workspot-windows-client-automatic-updates-via-deployment-rings) will start after the release as follows:

- *The Stable Ring* (recommended for most users) is always set to the most recent production release.
- *The Preview Ring* (recommended for beta testers and early adopters) is always set to the most recent beta release *or*production release, whichever is newer.
