# Workspot Windows Client 5.3.0

> **Note:**Release 5.3.0 is in the process of being superseded by hotfix [release 5.3.1](/v1/docs/workspot-windows-client-531), which will be released by February 26, 2024.

## Highlights

- Support for the Workspot Media Extension, which provides higher audio/video quality and lower latency by transferring conferencing sessions of Microsoft Teems, Google Meet, and Zoom the browser on the local device instead of running on the remote desktop.
- Support for Windows 11 23H2.
- The Client now supports location-based posture checking, which allows the Control Administrator to permit or forbid connections based on a list of favored or disfavored ISO country codes.
- The Client now reports information about its network adapter and LAN IP settings along with other status information.
- Support for the Company Identifier tag, which is used to support multiple Control instances and data sovereignty and to enhance scalability.
- With Entra ID-only (Azure AD-only) Cloud desktops, end-users' local Windows systems are sometimes configure in a way that is partly incompatible with the remote desktop. Previously, such users received a popup but now the situation is handled transparently.
