# Workspot OS and Hardware Requirements

## Workspot Clients

Hardware and OS requirements for the Workspot *Client* (not Workspot desktops) are listed below:

| **Workspot Client** | **OS Versions Supported** | **Other Requirements** |

| **Workspot Windows Client** | Windows 11 Enterprise, Pro, Home, Education, IoT. | - 4 GB RAM minimum, dual-core CPU minimum. - **Note:** The Client is no longer tested or supported on Windows 10. |
| **Workspot Mac Client** | macOS 14 Sonoma. macOS 13 Ventura. | 4 GB RAM minimum, dual-core CPU minimum. |
| **Workspot iOS Client** | iOS/iPadOS 17-26.4. | Supported on all devices running these OS versions. |
| **Workspot Android Client** | Android 13-16. | Supported on all devices running these OS versions. Samsung DeX is supported on devices running a supported OS. |
| **Workspot Client for the Web** | Chromebook: Google Chrome. Windows: Google Chrome. Windows: Microsoft Edge. | Devices should run the latest version of Chrome or Edge. - 8 GB RAM recommended (4 GB minimum). - 2.0 GHz, 2-core/4-thread CPU recommended (1.6 GHz, 2-core/2-thread CPU minimum). ## Workspot Cloud Desktops

Workspot desktops require the [Workspot Windows Desktop Agen](/v1/docs/workspot-desktop-agent-installation-and-configuration)t or the [Workspot Linux Desktop Agent](/v1/docs/workspot-linux-desktops-and-apps).

### Windows Desktops

- **Workspot Agent.** Workspot Windows Desktops require the [Workspot Windows Desktop Agent](/v1/docs/workspot-desktop-agent-installation-and-configuration).
- **Windows 11:**
  - Support for Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise 25H2, 24H2, 23H2.
  - Some limitations apply: See [Windows 11 Support for Desktops and Templates](/v1/docs/workspot-os-and-hardware-requirements).
- **Windows 10:**
  - Windows 10 Enterprise.
  - **Note:** Windows 10 is at end-of-life. However, as of this writing (Agent 4.6.1), we we still test the Workspot Agent on Windows 10.

### Linux Desktops

**Workspot Agent**: Workspot Linux Desktops require the [Workspot Linux Agent](/v1/docs/workspot-linux-desktops-and-apps).

**Linux versions:**

- Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, and 22.04.
- Redhat 7.9.
- CentOS 7.9.

**Hardware requirements:**

- Quad-core processor or better.
- 4 GB of RAM.

## Cloud Applications Servers (RD Pools)

- Supported: Windows Server 2025 and 2022
  - The Remote Desktop Services with RD Session Host role is required.
- Deprecated: Windows Server 2019 and 2016.
  - **Note:** Windows Server 2019 and 2016 are *deprecated:* they no longer tested and are not recommended, especially for new application servers and pools. Consider updating existing servers.
  - The Remote Desktop Services with RD Session Host role is required.

## Workspot Managed Gateways

- Supported: Windows Server 2025 and 2022
  - Remote Desktop Services and the RD Gateway roles are required.
- Deprecated: Windows Server 2019 and 2016.
  - **Note:** Windows Server 2019 and 2016 are *deprecated:* they no longer tested and are not recommended, especially for new gateways. Consider updating existing gateways.
  - Remote Desktop Services and the RD Gateway roles are required.

## Workspot Enterprise Connector

- Supported: Windows Server 2025 and 2022.
- Deprecated: Windows Server 2019 and 2016.
  - **Note:** Windows Server 2019 and 2016 are *deprecated:* they no longer tested and are not recommended, especially for new Enterprise connectors. Consider updating existing devices.

- Google Chrome.
- Microsoft Edge.
