Two commonly used options provide end-users with initial troubleshooting capabilities before contacting administrators: Refresh and Reset in the Client.
Refresh Configuration
This feature allows end-users to retrieve the latest configuration from Workspot Control. This includes desktop/app entitlement, most policy changes, and so on.
The Client polls for changes automatically as part of the Client heartbeat, which occurs roughly every five minutes.
Some changes are not detected by Refresh. Group membership changes are polled by a different mechanism. Time Limits Policies take effect only when the Workspot Agent on the desktop or Application server restarts, which it does every 24 hours.
Reset
This option is akin to restoring something to its original state or condition, often used to address issues or start anew. Should an issue arise with the Workspot client, rather than uninstalling it, users can opt to reset it, returning it to its original state. Resetting clears all configurations and caches. The user must re-register the Client by following the its prompts for the first-time use (FTU) process.
To assist end-users, here are screenshots illustrating how to Refresh and Reset different Workspot Clients.
