# End of Support: Windows 10

## Background

Microsoft support ends for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.

Microsoft offers only an extended security updates program, with no other extended support.

## Workspot’s Policy

- Once Microsoft stops supporting an operating system, Workspot stops supporting it as well. Thus, Workspot’s official support for Windows 10 ends on October 14, 2025.
- However, Workspot currently has no plans to *prevent*the Workspot Windows Client or the Workspot Windows Desktop Agent from installing, updating, or running on Windows 10.
- Testing of the Workspot Windows Client and the Workspot Windows Desktop Agent on Windows 10 will cease soon.
- Windows 10 Marketplace templates will soon be removed as in option in the Control UI.

## Recommendations

Update to Windows 11 as soon as possible.

To prevent your end-users from running Windows 10 with the Workspot Client, enable [Posture Checking](/v1/docs/security-posture-checking) rules to enforce this.
