# AWS EC2: How to Enable AWS License Manager to Create the Service Role for Dedicated Host

In order to create a Cloud Desktop Pool on EC2, the AWS license manager needs to be enabled to create the service role for Dedicated Host.

This is a One-time event – search for license manager in AWS search.
